Fairfax County Public Schools Tipline

As part of Fairfax County Public Schools' continuing efforts to maintain safe schools, a confidential and anonymous telephone hot line is available.

The Tip Line phone number is 571-423-2020.

Now, Individuals wishing to report activity can now text their concerns to: 571-418-6870 Keyword TIP An automated banner will respond allowing the person to text in information.

School administrators encourage students and community members to report school safety issues, such as threats, dangerous rumors, drug use, theft, harassment, gang activities, existence of weapons, and vandalism. Tip Line users may identify themselves or remain anonymous, and calls will not be traced.

Commenting on the Tip Line, Superintendent Dr. Karen Garza said, "We are convinced that the Tip Line will help students and community members play key roles in deterring acts of crime and violence. Calls and text messages will be routed to our school security officers, who will contact principals and if necessary, the Fairfax County Police Department."

The Office of Safety and Security provides schools with posters that provide Tip Line information. These are placed in key locations throughout the school.

Additionally, anyone can anonymously report information by utilizing the below comment field. These submissions are sent to the Office of Safety and Security and are coordinated with the appropriate school or office.
